That’s right, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is giving gamers the VIP access to the next big thing in the TEKKEN franchise. The CBT kicks off on October 20th, so set your reminders. What platforms, you ask? We’re talking PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Registration? Already open. Head over to their official site and get yourself enlisted.

New Power Moves with Unreal Engine 5 and Aggressive Fight System

This ain’t your everyday update; TEKKEN 8 is cooking up some serious eye candy with Unreal Engine 5. The dev team at Bandai Namco Studios is elevating the visual game, from remodeled characters to dynamic arenas that’ll make your eyes pop. And let’s talk about gameplay—there’s a new “Aggressive” fight system in town that rewards gamers who like to keep the punches rolling. TEKKEN 8 is planning to drop on January 26, 2024, exclusively on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Cross-Play Head-to-Head and TEKKEN Fight Lounge Debut

Cross-play’s the name of the game for the CBT. You can be on any platform and throw down with fighters from other realms, taking the competition to the next level. Plus, get a sneak peek at the TEKKEN Fight Lounge—a new lobby where players can chill, interact, and set up matches. This virtual hangout’s got four zones for you to explore: Battle Area, Customization Shop, TEKKEN DOJO, and Beach Area. Also, Tekken Ball is making a comeback. Yeah, that Tekken Ball from TEKKEN 3!

Nineteen Characters Enter the Fray: Familiar Faces and Newbies

Hold on to your controllers, because the CBT will feature 19 characters for you to choose from. The roster includes some of the all-time greats like Jin, Kazuya, Jun, Paul, and many more. But let’s get to the spicy part—new challengers are entering the arena. Meet Azucena, Raven, and the freshly unveiled Feng. Can’t have a beta test without a diverse lineup, right?

Diverse Battlegrounds for the CBT

Not just satisfied with a killer lineup, TEKKEN 8 will also showcase a variety of environments during the CBT. The developers are flaunting stages like Urban Square (Evening), Yakushima, Rebel Hangar, Sanctum, Arena, and a brand-new addition called Ortiz Farm.
