As announced via Xbox Wire today, the team at Obsidian Entertainment has released an update to Grounded that will change the way players interact with the bugs of the backyard.
Available now, The Bugs Strike Back update introduces new interactions between players and insects, as well as other features.
Familiar to Obsidian fans, Faction Reactivity will lead to insects attacking your base, triggered by spending too much time intruding on their territory and killing their brethren. The Waft Emitter allows players to selectively aggravate insect groups by throwing down pieces of fallen insects, the scent of which draws out revenge-thirsty members of the corresponding species. Lastly, MIX.R tanks have been spread throughout the yard by Wendell. Contained within them are pieces of Raw Science, which players can obtain by turning the MIX.R on. Powering on the system, however, draws the ire of nearby insects, who the player must defend the MIX.R until the process has been completed.
