The Game Awards and LA Philharmonic Present a Spectacular 10-Year Concert at the Hollywood Bowl

The Game Awards, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association (LA Phil), has announced an impressive lineup of video games and series to be featured in The Game Awards 10-Year Concert. This live event, held at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on June 25, 2023, will showcase the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra performing iconic scores from top video games, celebrating the immense influence of video games as a form of entertainment.

The concert will include orchestral music selections and suites from numerous popular video game franchises of the past decade, as well as upcoming titles. These scores will be performed alongside immersive video game footage, featuring special musical guests. Grammy-winning, BAFTA-and Emmy-nominated composer Lorne Balfe, who has written The Game Awards theme and conducted The Game Awards Orchestra for the past five years, will lead the concert. Tickets are now available for purchase on the Hollywood Bowl website.

  • MARVEL’S SPIDER-MAN (Insomniac Games/Marvel/Sony Interactive Entertainment)
  • STARFIELD (Bethesda Game Studios/Bethesda Softworks)
  • STAR WARS JEDI (Respawn/Electronic Arts/Lucasfilm Games)
  • THE LAST OF US (Naughty Dog/Sony Interactive Entertainment)

Further details on special guests and surprises will be announced at a later date for this exclusive in-person event, which will not be officially live-streamed.

Geoff Keighley, creator of The Game Awards, expressed excitement about bringing the fan-favorite orchestral performances from the past decade to life in-person, while composer Lorne Balfe shared his enthusiasm for conducting the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra to celebrate the music that has shaped the gaming industry.

Renae Williams Niles, Chief Content and Engagement Officer for the LA Phil, highlighted the integral relationship between music and video games, stating that the concert will be an exhilarating experience for gamers and non-gamers alike, celebrating the entire video gaming industry.
