Season 16 will run from today until November 21st, featuring a complete visual overhaul, exciting rewards to unlock, and community events to celebrate the iconic Mexican festival.
Mattel163 has announced an exciting new UNO! Mobile season, Season 16: La Fiesta. Starting today, UNO! Mobile players can immerse themselves in the Day of the Dead’s festivities while working through a season new pass, unlocking awards and collectibles. The update also features a new special card deck: the Fantástica Collection.
The celebration will continue outside the game too. From today through to 2nd November, Mattel163 will hold a series of challenges and competitions on the UNO! Mobile official Facebook page, giving players the opportunity to win a range of IRL and in-game prizes.
Celebrating the iconic Mexican Day of the Dead festival, UNO! Mobile’s new season completely redesigns the in-game visuals. Players will be greeted by friendly spirits from the “afterlife” as soon as they enter the app, with a new introduction animation and in-game background scene.
The season also comes with exciting rewards and Mexican-styled collectibles up for grabs. The artwork uses traditional motifs from the Day of the Dead — maracas, a flower-adorned sugar skull medal, and more. From festive card effects to avatar frames adorned with guitar and marigold flowers, players across the world can totally immerse themselves in Mexican culture while playing UNO! Mobile.
In addition, players can start collecting a unique UNO Card set throughout the season:the Fantástica Collection. The card layout design is inspired by the Mexican decorative craft Papel Picado. On the set of cards, there are vibrant and colorful fantastical creatures “alebrijes” and Mexican cultural elements, waiting for UNO! Mobile players to unlock.
Further celebrating the festival with UNO! Mobile community, and bringing Day of the Dead to more players, Mattel163 will alsoUNO! hold a series of contests on UNO! Mobile official Facebook channel. Starting from October 2nd, players can take part in activities ranging from a scavenger hunt challenge to a Day of the Dead giveaway event. Winners will be announced on November 2nd, the date of the traditional Día de los Muertos holiday.
This one-month-long celebration within UNO! Mobile’s community will culminate in a giveaway of a wide array of prizes and surprises for players and contest winners. Prizes include phones, gift cards, and loads of in-game rewards!
UNO! Mobile continues to bring the much loved, world-famous UNO! format to new audiences with its unpredictable gameplay. As Mattel163 aims to connect the world through play, Season 16 marks the first Mexican-themed event for the mobile title. This follows Egyptian and Wild West-themed seasonal events enjoyed by global players throughout 2022.
