Humble Bundle announces May 29th release date for upcoming strategy shooter, “Void Bastards” on PC & Xbox One with day one Xbox Game Pass availability.
Jonathan Chey, Design Director of “Bioshock” and “System Shock 2” took the two games as inspiration for his upcoming title. “I love the deep simulational gameplay of BioShock and System Shock 2 – they aren’t just run and gun shooters. But I wanted to find a way to experience more of that gameplay without having to replay the same story over and over. Wrapping the shooter inside a strategy game turned out to be a great way to do that!”
“Void Bastards” has players take control of misfit prisoners of the Void Ark, each with unique traits, as they jump from ship to ship across the Sargasso Nebula scrounging for craftable gear, upgrades, and loot to ensure survival. Players are given a variety of options to make their way across the Nebula, from blowing up and looting everything in their path, sneaking around mutant citizens for key pieces of gear, or simply jettisoning everything into space.
