Wildlife Studios, one of the world’s largest mobile gaming companies, today announced its newest affiliated studio, Stellar Core Games. Founded by games industry veterans Touko Tahkokallio, Chief Creative Officer, and Serdar Soganci, Studio Director, the studio will be based in Helsinki, Finland.
Tahkokallio was the Game Lead for such titles as Brawl Stars, Everdale, and Clash Quest and the original game designer for Boom Beach and Hay Day. He is also a prolific board game designer. Soganci has been in the Game Development industry since 2003. He was the Head-of-Studio at Rovio Entertainment, developer of “Angry Birds” franchise, and more recently the Game Lead for Best Fiends puzzle game.
“Wildlife Studios has offered us an opportunity of a lifetime,” said Tahkokallio. “In doing so, we will be laser-focused on creating games that we’ve been dreaming about for years. With the abundance of talent in Helsinki we are excited for the future of Stellar Core and what we will be creating together.”
Stellar Core games will not be constrained to any particular genre and intend to explore different opportunities in the gaming space. They believe that the best future games should offer something fresh and new for players while leveraging the learnings from past games. Ultimately, they believe games should be simple and offer as much depth as possible.
Stellar Core Games joins an impressive lineup of WIldlife Studios’ affiliated studios, including Never Forget Games, SuperWow! Games, Foxbear Games, Playabit, and Moon Tavern. Wildlife Studios is rapidly expanding its support for affiliated studios, providing premium support and infrastructure so that these industry trailblazers can focus on what they do best: making great games.
