The Premise
The game begins with a group of friends embarking on an adventurous hike, only for their journey to turn into a survival ordeal after a bear attack. Players find themselves isolated, forced to adapt to the harsh wilderness or face demise from the unforgiving elements and wildlife.
Gameplay and Features
Players will traverse a desolate winter landscape and a deserted town in search of shelter. The game challenges players to stave off the cold, manage hunger, and craft tools from scavenged materials. Improving survival skills, such as hunting, building, and maintaining health, is essential for overcoming the dangers of the wilderness.
Defensive strategies against predators like wolves, boars, and bears involve crafting weapons and using stealth. The game also emphasizes the importance of mental health, as players must manage stress, fatigue, and fear to prevent hallucinations and maintain sanity.
Winter Survival offers three game modes: Story Mode, which explores the backstory of the abandoned town; Endless Mode, a test of survival skills; and Coldwave Mode, introducing harsher weather conditions, set to release a week after the launch.
