Ash of Gods: The Way, a tactical turn-based card game, is set to launch on both Nintendo Switch and PC on April 27th. Players can immerse themselves in the blend of tactical turn-based combat and deck-building card game elements on both platforms. Prior to its release, Ash of Gods: The Way has already received accolades, including Best Art at the Games Gathering Conference and Best PC Game at the Indie Cup.
The game will be available for purchase on Steam and in the Nintendo eShop at a price of $24.99 / €24.99 / £20.99, with a 10% launch discount. Additionally, players who already own Ash of Gods: Redemption on Steam will receive a loyalty discount of another 10% when purchasing Ash of Gods: The Way in the Steam Store at launch.
Set in the battle-scarred world of Terminus, Ash of Gods: The Way challenges players to build decks of warriors, equipment, and spells from four distinct factions. Mastering The Way, a ruthless card game used by the enemy’s aristocracy to train their fiercest commanders, is the key to victory. Players will follow Finn, a young man who has witnessed the devastation caused by the enemy’s tactics and is now determined to protect his country from a similar fate.
Gameplay in Ash of Gods: The Way requires players to deploy a warrior and a support card before sending their units towards the enemy’s commander on the battlefield. As is often the case in war, things don’t always go as planned, and players must be adaptable, altering their deck regularly to survive as rules change from battle to battle, and sometimes even mid-fight.
Ash of Gods: The Way also features an interactive story with multiple endings, fully voice-acted cutscenes, and dialogue. Players’ choices both on and off the battlefield can have far-reaching consequences that could alter the course of history, for better or worse.
Ash of Gods: The Way is the second full-length game set in the Terminus universe. For those who want to familiarize themselves with this medieval fantasy world before the upcoming release, the previous game, Ash of Gods: Redemption, is available to play.
