Mobiuz, is BenQ’s high-end gaming monitor brand dedicated to craftsmanship and a cutting-edge viewing experience. Mobiuz is also responsible for deploying proprietary technology like TrueSound, HDRi, and patented Eye-Care. BenQ’s EX3410R MOBIUZ 34″ Ultrawide Curved Gaming Monitor features an HDRi WQHD 3440x 1440 display, 144Hz refresh rate, a 1000r curve, and AMD FreeSync technology priced at $599.99.
Baby got back! As we mentioned in our previous review of the 4K EX3210U, Mobiuz continues to deliver a frame design that can be filmed from any angle. This may not be a selling point for most but I am sure content creators will appreciate the effort put into this design. An all silver backside including the stand is opposite the black bezel and red highlighting on the feet at the front of the stand. Keeping the color scheme a simple silver and black without the red highlights would look much cleaner. An easy assembly process that will take you a whopping 2 minutes is always welcomed. Curve depth always comes down to personal preference but 1000R is too much for me. I think a lesser curve of around 1800R provides the best viewing experience.
Before we get into specifications, I want to remind everyone reading this review that we are talking about a monitor that costs $599.99. At this price point with these specifications, you can only expect that this monitor would be a VA panel. Nonetheless, we are still talking about a 4K, 1ms, 400 nit viewing experience featuring over 16 million colors powered by BenQ’s proprietary HDRi technology. “No cap” it’s just as easy on your eyes as it is on your wallet. On the other side of it, you need not worry about performance, its refresh rate and response time are top tier. It’s ready to compete at the highest level in all the major Esports genres. If you are one of those gamers who play hardcore but will occasionally rejoice in some casual fun take a hard look at the monitor.
I know they are out there; we all have that one gamer friend who hops on comms and doesn’t have a headset! Do you game using your onboard monitor speakers? Don’t be that person. I just think BenQ is putting a bit too much effort into the sound system. A tighter bezel or upgrades in other areas would be preferred. Rounding out the technology features this monitor comes with my favorite BenQ scenario mapping software. Swap out display loadouts instantly, exchange them with friends on the fly or maybe even ask your favorite content creator to share theirs with you. So legit. Finally, the EX3410R also supports BenQ’s patent Eye-Care technology.
This monitor is well worth the $599.99 BenQ is asking for it. Backed by a 3-year factory warranty you are guaranteed to get your money’s worth over that time span. I am down with this product for sure, It’s such a great-looking viewing experience. I don’t mean just for the price point, both display quality and performance are mad solid.
