BenQ MOBIUZ 4K EX3210U Gaming Monitor Review

Summary
This 32" gaming monitor has a 3-year limited warranty on its 4K IPS panel. It performs at Esports quality speeds with its 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, all on a brilliant HDRi display. True HDMI 2.1 along with a boat of proprietary BenQ software provides a next-level gaming experience priced at $1099.99. I think even at this stage in IPS panel technology this monitor is priced too high. I think BenQ put too much into the built-in audio and microphone technology. I think BenQ would argue its price point with its proprietary technology like HDRi. Value here is to be determined by the user, I would assume most casuals just use the presets. Elite level users want to tweak the settings until they get the perfect build for each game they play. No doubt the MOBIUZ 4K 32 inch EX3210U has the top tier visual technology and performance you need.

This is our first opportunity to check out a Mobiuz gaming monitor. Mobiuz is a subsidiary of BenQ known for delivering top-tier monitor technology spared no expense. This 32″ gaming monitor has a 3-year limited warranty on its 4K IPS panel. It performs at Esports quality speeds with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, all on a brilliant HDRi display. True HDMI 2.1 along with a boat of proprietary BenQ software provides a next-level gaming experience priced at $1099.99.

This monitor is a bit of a beast, it has some weight to it. According to the specifications it sits on the scale at a gross weight of 30lbs which is on the heavier side for monitors this size. While the weight itself won’t affect performance, it can be a bit difficult to move and get in the right position at your battle station. BenQ did an outstanding job on the backside of this monitor, its film set ready. A clean white back featuring 4 lights in each corner. Its Vesa compatible along with having a sleek cover to hide your wiring for that clean look. The stand keeps the all-white theme with its feet a flat aluminum color with red highlights. Black trim on the front side of the monitor which is so thin it’s virtually invisible. A gorgeous-looking design that will add “drip” to any content creator or gamer’s set.

If you’re up on game you know an IPS panel is the way. They are currently the most brilliant displays on the market and now just starting to reach Esports quality performance and speeds. In this case, the MOBIUZ 4K 32″ can reach a refresh rate of up to 144HZ which is top tier. I personally believe companies that advertise higher than 144Hz are just selling a gimmick and the human eye won’t be able to notice any higher. You are getting this refresh rate at a response time of 1MS which is the best on the market today. Powered by HDMI 2.1 and AMD FreeSync an excellent technology comparable to Nvidia G-sync which eliminates tearing, stuttering, and ends choppy frames. This monitor has all the ingredients from a performance perspective in comparison to any IPS panel on the market now.

I think even at this stage in IPS panel technology this monitor is priced too high. I think BenQ put too much effort into the built-in audio and microphone technology. One-click audio modes on a 2.1ch system featuring a 5W subwoofer powered by Bongiovi DPS sound technology. An AI noise-canceling microphone that operates in a private or omnidirectional mode. These features are not a bad thing, in fact, they are a good thing but I think the effect they have on the overall price is where it hurts the most. Realistically if you’re an online gamer or content creator using coms then you either have a gaming headset with a built-in mic or an external broadcasting mic solution.

I think BenQ would argue its price point with the additions of their proprietary technology like HDRi. A technology designed to act as an intelligent control by detecting ambient light and image content and then adjusting the screen brightness and contrast accordingly. This in turn provides a clear viewing experience and eliminates overexposed bright areas on the display. Better contrast in combination with the onboard pre-sets provides richer more vivid colors on your display. BenQ Eye-Care filters out harmful light that can cause eye damage. This feature allows you to game for longer hours with maximum comfort.

Quite possibly the biggest brain feature this monitor has to offer is scenario mapping. No “cap” every company making monitors needs to take notes from BenQ. Yes of course I would like to save my custom settings and pair each of my quick OSD presets with any input. You can share your settings with friends or ask the pros to hook you up with their build. The value here is to be determined by the user, most casuals just use the presets. Elite-level users want to tweak the settings until they get the perfect build for each game they play. No doubt the MOBIUZ 4K 32 inch EX3210U has the top-tier visual technology and performance you need. It really comes down to the user’s willingness to pay more for these extra features BenQ has to offer.
