Free League Publishing has set the stage for an intriguing continuation of the Blade Runner The Roleplaying Game universe with the announcement of its first expansion, titled Case File 02: Fiery Angels. Scheduled for release on April 2, 2024, this expansion dives deeper into the dystopian world of Blade Runners, offering new challenges and explorations into Replicant technology.
A Deep Dive into the Expansion
Case File 02: Fiery Angels kicks off with Blade Runners tasked to interrogate a suspect caught attempting to breach the Wallace Corporation Memory Vaults. The narrative promises a complex blend of physical, mental, and moral trials, guiding players through a narrative rich with the ethical quandaries and technological intricacies characteristic of the Blade Runner universe.
Stand-Alone or Series Continuation
This expansion can serve as an independent adventure or as a sequel to Case File 01: Electric Dreams, found in the Blade Runner RPG Starter Set. Mirroring the quality and presentation of its predecessor, Fiery Angels includes an engaging investigative scenario, along with numerous in-world handouts, photos, maps, and other materials to enhance the gameplay experience.
Creative Minds Behind the Scenes
The adventure owes its creation to Tomas Härenstam and Joe LeFavi, lead designers of the Blade Runner RPG, with artistic contributions from Martin Grip, David Brasgalla, and Eelco Sebring. Their combined efforts have crafted a visually and narratively compelling extension to the game.
