It’s been an incredible month-and-a-half since the launch of EA SPORTS UFC 2 and we’re overwhelmed with the positive response to the game, and with the number of players who have created fighters and teams in UFC Ultimate Team.
As with any other EA SPORTS title, it’s not uncommon for us to fine-tune certain aspects of the game over time and UFC Ultimate Team is no different. Effective May 12, 2016, we’ll be making some changes to how we calculate team scores, and because of that, you will notice a change to the leaderboard rankings.
So, what exactly is happening?
We noticed that players were creating and deleting fighters and that the deleted characters were still being considered for the player’s Team Score. Because of this, a number of players were able to move up the leaderboard unfairly.
We will be adjusting the leaderboard system to calculate your team score based on your current active fighters. Only the fighters now on your team will give to your team score. Once removed, that fighter will no longer count towards your team score and, typically, your team score will go down immediately after you delete a fighter.
This was something we heard a lot about from our fans and we always aim to deliver a fun and fair experience for all. We welcome all feedback. Feel free to contact us on Facebook or Twitter with your thoughts on this recent change and what other things you’d like to see adjusted in UFC Ultimate Team or any other aspect of EA SPORTS UFC 2!
