Yo, G-LYFE Nation, check this out! Football Manager 2024 is leveling up the managerial game with its Early Access available now on both Steam and Epic Games Store. If you’ve pre-purchased FM24 from a SEGA-approved digital retailer, you can log in and launch the game straight from your library.
Early Access: What’s In the Box?
First off, know that this Early Access is a near-complete version, but it’s not the final boss just yet. Players might encounter bugs and issues. If that’s the case, just hit that ‘Report Bug’ button on the in-game sidebar. As for online play, it’s up and running. Just keep in mind, access to Steam Workshop or any pre-game and in-game editors is still on cooldown until the full release.
Real World Data: Proceed with Caution
Information in the Early Access version is still going through the approval pipelines. That means some club and player assets might not be as accurate as they will be at launch. But don’t stress, any single-player careers started now will transfer over to the full game, set to drop on November 6th.
What’s New in FM24: The Lowdown
FM24 is the 20th edition, making it the most feature-packed one yet. The game devs are really grinding, adding the ability to transfer saved games from FM23. They’ve also introduced new features, shaped by insights from both new and existing partners in the pro game.
Matchday Experience: Step Up Your Game
FM24 is throwing in some innovative updates to the Matchday experience. Expect intelligent positional rotations, and the introduction of the Inverted Full-Back player role. Matches themselves will feature improved player movement animations and upgraded ball physics and lighting.
Tactical Tools: Get the Edge
A new feature making its debut is Set Piece Coaches. Coupled with a revamped Set Piece Creator, you’ve got more ways to set up your plays and break down defenses. The game also introduces Targets, so you can set goals for your players, ramping up performance levels.
Agent Dynamics: Wheel and Deal
Intermediaries and enhanced functionalities for pre-existing Agents will give you more power to sell players and plan your rebuilds. Coupled with improvements in recruitment decision-making of opposition managers, and the in-game Finances system, you’re in for a more challenging and dynamic career.
Go Global: Unlock Japan
In a power move, FM24 inked a deal with the Meiji Yasuda Insurance Ltd J.1 League, J.2 League and J.3 League. That means for the first time, Japan’s a playable nation and Japanese is an official in-game language.
Get On Board: Early Access Perks
Haven’t pre-purchased yet? You’ve still got time. You can cop FM24 on PC or Mac from a participating digital retailer between now and November 6th for a 10% discount, plus unlock Early Access.
