LEGO 2K Drive: Everything You Need to Know Before Release Day

LEGO fans, rev your engines! The highly anticipated open-world racing game, LEGO 2K Drive, is set to launch worldwide on May 19th, 2023, and developers Visual Concepts have given players plenty of reasons to be excited. With customizable vehicles, four exciting game modes, crossplay features, and much more, LEGO 2K Drive is shaping up to be an unforgettable racing experience. Here’s everything you need to know before release day.

Four Game Modes to Explore

LEGO 2K Drive offers a wide variety of racing experiences for players to enjoy. In Story mode, players can compete against charismatic rivals as they journey from rookie racer to racing champion. Cup Series mode offers a Grand Prix experience with multiple tracks to race back-to-back, while Race mode offers the chance to jump straight into the action on any course. Minigames have unique objectives that go beyond crossing a finish line, making for a unique challenge.

Play Together and Crossplay Details

LEGO 2K Drive also offers multiplayer options, both locally and online. Players can enjoy two-player splitscreen co-op on all platforms, with Local Play available for two Nintendo Switch systems on the same wireless connection. Crossplay is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. In Play With Friends mode, up to six players can join up online to race around Bricklandia together, while Play With Everyone mode offers matchmade racing against players from around the world.

Customization and Sharing

In LEGO 2K Drive, the Garage is where players can build and modify their dream vehicles. With hundreds of bricks available to customize every aspect of their ride, players can create unique and powerful vehicles. Each vehicle has its own stats, including Top Speed, Acceleration, Handling, Health, Melee Power, and Weight. The more bricks used, the heavier the vehicle gets, affecting its Weight class. Each of the six Weight classes from Super Light to Massive has advantages and weaknesses, so players can experiment and find the perfect combination for their racing style. LEGO 2K Drive also offers plenty of customization options, from paint jobs to sound effects, and players will be able to share their creations with friends and the community online.

With its impressive features and unique take on the LEGO universe, LEGO 2K Drive is set to become a must-play game for racing fans and LEGO enthusiasts alike. Pre-orders are available on all platforms, and players who pre-order the Standard Edition or Cross-Gen Standard Edition will receive the Aquadirt Racer Pack (Digital) as a bonus. LEGO 2K Drive is rated E10+ by the ESRB. Get ready to race around Bricklandia on May 19th!
