MSI, a world leader in gaming hardware and computing solutions, announced today a two-year agreement with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), one of the most recognizable collegiate brands. Under the partnership, UCLA Esports will be outfitted with MSI’s esports-grade computers and monitors for all training and tournaments.

UCLA Esports is a fast growing team playing under the titles League of Legends, Overwatch, Dota 2, Hearthstone, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In recent years, its teams have placed highly in competitions including Collegiate Overwatch and the Hearthstone Collegiate Championship, and produced talent reaching the top level of play in their titles, like Dillon LeDuc, who recently achieved Rank 1 on the North American Hearthstone ladder. In addition to his no. 1 rank, LeDuc qualified for the Hearthstone Masters Tour in Los Angeles on March 20 to 22.

This deal will allow us to give back to our student athletes and help improve their experience at UCLA while also providing more opportunities to engage the student body through gaming.”
