PUBG MOBILE UPDATE BRINGS GREATER ACCESSIBILITY TO MILLIONS OF COLORBLIND PLAYERS

PUBG MOBILE is proud to introduce Colorblind Mode, a visual adjustment to support users who have difficulty distinguishing certain colors. After a suggestion from the community via Reddit, PUBG MOBILE’s developers have created a mode that provides accessibility for as many as 18 million members of a global community for a game that has been downloaded over 600 million times globally.

The new Colorblind Mode allows PUBG MOBILE players to choose from three options, changing the display colors for elements of the game including minimap markers, trajectory indicators for throwable items like grenades and Molotov cocktails, smoke from air drops, poison, incoming fire indicators and the Red Zone.

“Colorblind Mode was something we worked diligently to implement when it was brought to our attention by the community,” said Eric Cleaver, Global Head of Community at PUBG MOBILE. “PUBG MOBILE has players all over the world and no two players are the same. We want to make sure everyone feels welcome and able to enjoy the gameplay experience we offer to our community.”

Colorblind Mode is just one of PUBG MOBILE’s continued efforts to aid both players and the world. The recent partnership with Global Green and Omaze for #Fight4TheAmazon, delivered a massive social impact campaign to raise significant funds for the restoration of the Amazon rainforest.
