Demo Launch Details
Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has released a playable demo for SAND LAND, an action RPG set in the universe created by Akira Toriyama. The demo, available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, offers a preview of the game scheduled for release on April 26, 2024. Players can explore the game’s vehicle and melee combat, along with its dynamic exploration elements.
Gameplay and Features
In the SAND LAND demo, players assume the roles of Beelzebub, Thief, and Sheriff Rao, navigating through the game’s vibrant world using Battle Tanks, Battle Armors, and Motorcycles. Participants in the demo will gain 30 B-grade steel and 30 B-grade bolts, rewards that carry over to the main game, aiding in vehicle enhancement.
Background and Development
SAND LAND, originally a manga by Akira Toriyama released in 2000, depicts a desert world plagued by water scarcity, where the characters Beelzebub and Rao embark on a quest for a secret water source. The transition of SAND LAND from manga to multimedia began with the announcement of an anime film in December 2022, leading to the development of the video game, unveiled in June 2023.
