Supporting competitive fitness through virtual reality (VR), game development company Schell Games will be participating in the VR Fitness Summit powered by Virtual Athletics League. Tapping into Virtual Athletics League’s esports expertise, the VR Fitness Summit will be a mix of tournaments and panels, with over 40 companies participating. The event will feature prominent VR titles including FitXR, Pro Putt, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, Sairento, and Creed: Rise to Glory.
Highlighting Schell Games’ heart-pounding sword fighting VR game Until You Fall, the Summit kicks off with qualifiers and contests, beginning August 10 and running through September 3. The live event featuring the tournament finals and speakers/panels will be held September 3 – 6, 2020. There will be a $25,000 total prize pool across all tournaments and contests. Until You Fall will be one of only three games to be featured in the live finals.
Among one of the highest-rated physically active VR titles on Steam, Until You Fall will offer event participants fast-paced action, intense movement, and an electrifying soundtrack, delivering a high-impact workout coupled with the fun excitement of immersive entertainment. The Virtual Reality Institute of Health and Exercise reviewed Until You Fall in 2019, rating it “Elliptical Equivalent,” meaning it’s as strenuous as exercising on an elliptical machine.
