This morning on Xbox Wire, Rare announced Season Five is available now in Sea of Thieves free to all players with Xbox Game Pass and across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Steam, including all 100 levels of content with the brand-new Plunder Pass available for additional purchase to gain early access to premium rewards.
Enough of only digging up other pirates’ spoils – In Season Five, players can bury almost any item and create a map leading right back to it. You can do this purely for safekeeping, or post your map on the new Quest Board at the nearest Outpost and challenge other crews to seek it out. Season Five will also introduce fireworks which come in a spectrum of different colors and designs and can be found in barrels around the Sea of Thieves or bought in themed Firework Crates from the Merchant Alliance. If you’ve found yourself in a spot of trouble, there are also Signal Flares to help you signal to pass crews that you’d appreciate a little help.
