Ziggurat Interactive has officially released Slave Zero X, a 2.5D action game, across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms. A version for Nintendo Switch enthusiasts is slated for an early spring debut. Developed in collaboration with Poppy Works and the creators of Devil Engine, Slave Zero X revisits the biopunk universe first introduced in 1999’s Slave Zero.

Slave Zero X blends elements of action and fighting games, drawing inspiration from titles such as Devil May Cry, Strider, and Guilty Gear. Players step into the role of Shou, a character who forsakes his humanity to become a formidable adversary, vowing to annihilate a deceitful deity. Set in the dystopian realm of Megacity S1-9, ruled by the oppressive SovKhan, Shou’s mission is to dismantle the dictator’s regime and confront the Five Calamities, a group of elite warriors loyal to SovKhan.
