Squad Update 5.0: The People’s Liberation Army Marines and More
Offworld Industries, the developer of the popular tactical shooter Squad, is proud to announce the release of Update 5.0. This update brings a range of exciting additions and improvements to the game, including the introduction of The People’s Liberation Army Navy Marine Corps (PLANMC), new vehicles, kit roles, and additional emote packs. The People’s Liberation Army Navy Marine Corps (PLANMC)
The highlight of Update 5.0 is the inclusion of The People’s Liberation Army Navy Marine Corps (PLANMC). These forces are expertly trained in amphibious operations, marine warfare, and naval combat. They bring a unique digital blue-tinted naval camouflage pattern that distinguishes them as a formidable naval invasion force. Additionally, some gameplay layers feature the PLA Amphibious Ground Forces, which employ standard woodland digital camouflage to gain a tactical advantage on the mainland.
Accompanying the PLANMC are a variety of new vehicles and kit roles, providing players with fresh options and strategies on the battlefield.
Russian Airborne Forces: Russian VDV
In addition to the PLANMC, Update 5.0 introduces the Russian Airborne Forces, also known as the Russian VDV, to Squad. The Russian VDV is a fully mechanized branch of the Russian Armed Forces that specializes in fast and hard-hitting amphibious assaults. Their inclusion further diversifies the available factions and expands the range of tactical possibilities for players.
New Emote Packs
To add even more depth to the gameplay experience, Update 5.0 brings two new emote packs: the Attitude Pack and the Free PT Pack. These packs allow players to express themselves and taunt their opponents with a range of emotes, adding an extra layer of personality to the intense 50v50 battles in Squad.
