TILTING POINT NAMES COO SAMIR EL AGILI NEW PRESIDENT AS Q4 REVENUE SKYROCKETS

Mobile game publisher Tilting Point announced today that its Q4 revenue has quadrupled year-over-year thanks to a stream of new games and successful partnerships for user acquisition services and funding. Over the past few months, Tilting Point has signed a publishing deal with Edgeworks Entertainment for their award-winning space exploration game TerraGenesis, partnered with Nukebox Studios for an $18 million user acquisition commitment to grow their hit cooking game Food Truck Chef, and entered a user acquisition funding partnership with Disruptor Beam to scale UA efforts on their popular mobile strategy RPG Star Trek Timelines.

Tilting Point also announced that Chief Operating Officer Samir El Agili has been appointed as the company’s new president. El Agili, who joined Tilting Point in 2015 following a leadership role at Gameloft, has been instrumental to the evolution and growth of the company. Tilting Point co-founder Dan Sherman is stepping back from an operating role at the company to welcome El Agili into the position. Sherman will continue at Tilting Point as a member of the board of directors.

“2017 was a transformative year for us,” said Kevin Segalla, CEO of Tilting Point. “We are firing on all cylinders with tremendous revenue growth and more than double last year’s headcount. We are very proud to promote Samir, who has played a pivotal role in our company’s expansion, to be our new president as we contemplate even more ambitious goals for 2018.”

“Tilting Point has found a winning formula with our unique combination of specialized UA funding and value-added publishing services,” said Sherman. “Having worked closely with Samir for over two years, I know he is the right person to drive forward our mission of reinventing publishing for the benefit of the world’s most talented game developers. Our growth will only accelerate under his leadership.”

“It’s an extraordinary opportunity to succeed Dan, who has been crucial in establishing Tilting Point’s strong position in the mobile publishing world. The investments we’ve made in our team and toolset have set the stage for the incredible growth we are experiencing,” said El Agili. “In my new role, I will continue building the highest quality services with the best technology so our partners can scale their apps profitably, always keeping Tilting Point one step ahead in this fast-evolving industry.”
