Gameplay and Story
The narrative begins with protagonist Reimu Hakurei unconscious and amnesiac at the devastated Hakurei Shrine. Alongside Marisa Kirisame and over 60 other Touhou characters, players will unravel the mystery of recent events and fend off an enigmatic adversary threatening Gensokyo. Characters boast unique abilities, enhancing the depth of dungeon expeditions aimed at gathering resources to restore the shrine.
Players will encounter a variety of foes, from fairies to vampires and supernatural shapeshifters, necessitating strategic positioning for combat efficiency. Utilizing a combination of melee and ranged attacks, along with 20 distinct spells, is crucial for navigating through dungeons filled with traps and challenges.
Survival Mechanics
Sustenance management is a key aspect, with the distribution of rice balls and green tea crucial for mana and stamina upkeep. Failure to monitor Reimu’s stamina could result in damage over time. Exploration tactics include spell usage to reveal uncharted areas or disarm potential traps, adding a layer of strategy to dungeon navigation.
