McLaren Racing and EA SPORTS Announce Unique F1 Competition

Fan Name to Feature on F1 Steering Wheels at Australian GP

Launch Date and Contest Overview

McLaren Racing, in collaboration with EA SPORTS, unveiled a unique competition on 28 February 2024, aimed at Formula 1 enthusiasts. This contest offers an unprecedented opportunity for one lucky fan to have their name displayed on the steering wheels of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri during the 2024 Australian Grand Prix.

Entry Requirements

Participants eager to enter must meet specific criteria to qualify. Firstly, entrants are required to possess EA SPORTS F1 23. Additionally, they need to pre-order the Champions Edition of EA SPORTS F1 24. This pre-order will grant access to the MCL38 livery in the F1 23 game, a critical element in the competition’s entry process.

Contestants are then tasked with capturing an in-game photograph showcasing the MCL38 livery within the Time Trial mode on any track of their choice. This image must be shared across various social media platforms, including McLaren Discord, X, Instagram, TikTok, or Threads, accompanied by the hashtag #MCL38. A further requirement stipulates that entrants must follow both McLaren Shadow and McLaren F1 on all their social media channels.

Competition Timeline

The contest window officially opened on 28 February 2024 and is set to close on 8 March 2024 at 0900 GMT. Entrants are encouraged to submit their entries within this timeframe to stand a chance of winning.

Prize Details

The competition’s victor will not only have the honor of their name featured on the F1 steering wheels of Norris and Piastri at the Australian Grand Prix but will also receive a full-scale official replica of the McLaren F1 steering wheel. This replica will be personalized with the winner’s name and autographed by both McLaren drivers, adding a tangible and memorable piece to the winner’s collection.

This initiative bridges the virtual and real-world racing spheres, offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become part of Formula 1 history at the 2024 Australian Grand Prix.
