Pursuing the goal of strengthening its editorial strategy and enhancing its talent portfolio, Microids is delighted to announce today acquiring a stake in the software development company Osome Studio.
The talented and experienced team at Osome Studio has developed and produced several flagship games for Microids on multiple platforms like Asterix & Obelix XXL3: The Crystal Menhir and more recently the commercially successful The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf.
For Stéphane Longeard, CEO of Microids: “Following the opening of Microids Studio Lyon and Microids Studio Paris, we are also delighted to invest in one of our partner studios: OSome Studio. We believe it’s crucial for us in 2022 to perpetuate our partnerships with the French studios at the forefront of the industry”.
“We see the arrival of Microids in Osome Studio’s capital as an opportunity to solidify our partnership for the long run. It will help us grow internationally, keep working on bringing our ideas to the most iconic licenses known worldwide like Asterix & The Smurfs and strengthen our team to tackle ambitious challenges. We are welcoming Microids with open arms and are eager to work even more closely with them” adds Mathieu Frémont, CEO and co-founder of OSome Studio.
