Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of mobile games, has announced a strategic partnership with The Sandbox, a prominent decentralized gaming virtual world and subsidiary of Animoca Brands. This collaboration aims to enhance The Sandbox’s metaverse content by incorporating Netmarble’s popular brands and intellectual properties (IPs) to create unique experiences for players worldwide.
In a statement, Netmarble expressed excitement about introducing their IPs to new and existing audiences through The Sandbox’s metaverse platform and delivering diverse content in the future.
The partnership will begin with the introduction of a ‘Netmarble IP LAND’ within the K-Verse, a space dedicated to Korean culture and entertainment. This 6×6-scale area will provide players with immersive experiences set in a Netmarble-inspired world.
The Sandbox Korea also welcomed Netmarble’s global game IPs to their metaverse, anticipating a close collaboration that will enable the creation of entertaining new content and collaboration events based on Netmarble’s most popular IPs.
As part of the partnership, The Sandbox will create items inspired by Netmarble’s IPs, such as the upcoming metaverse-based real estate board game, Meta World: My City. Netmarble plans to explore new collaborative opportunities and introduce content and events featuring assets from their popular games, including Seven Knights and Merge Fantasy Island, in the near future.
