Sweden-based collective Aurora Punks challenges folks to help their favorite indie studio by playing video games via fun and exciting social media campaign
Stockholm, Sweden: Indie studio collective Aurora Punks is ready to hand over up to $10,000 USD to an up-and-coming indie game studio via the Chenso Club Challenge. Running from June 16th to 22nd alongside Steam Next Fest, everyone can try out the demo of “Chenso Club” – a roguelite retro platform beat’em up with endless mode – then share their run and hashtag it with #ChensoClubChallenge. By tagging their favorite studio in the same post, they nominate them to win the prize pot.
“We are super happy to get this challenge going and help an indie studio out. It would be very exciting for us to also see some studios from developing countries nominated in this challenge. I really hope this takes off and that a lot of folks will show their appreciation to small indie devs and put them in the spotlight”, says Robert Bäckström, founder and Chairman of Aurora Punks. “The Chenso Club Challenge is what Aurora Punks is all about – to unite in order to make the industry a little better, a little more welcoming. And if we can do that by combining our passion for games with new friendships all around the world, that’s just pure win-win.”
The winner of the Chenso Club Challenge will be decided by several aspects and by a selected group of industry experts. Updates about the challenge – and which studio wins the lump sum will be announced on the Aurora Punks Twitter channel!
